Starting Fresh
“It’s never too late for a new beginning in your life.” —Joyce Meyer
Today feels like the perfect day to start something new.
Yesterday marked both the end and the beginning of HUGE life changes for me so it seems fitting that today will mark my first steps along a new journey for my business.
Not to get too into the weeds of my personal life, but yesterday I both signed my divorce papers and registered for my first classes of grad school, so today really does feel like a new beginning.
And this new adventure necessitates some changes to my business, starting with shifting my focus from email marketing to pure content creation.
As much as I love tactics and strategies, I've never been a fan of email marketing. Helping people, sharing insights, inspiring and empowering others—100%. But creating funnels, A/B testing subject lines, tracking which types of links work best. No thank you.
I'd much rather share what I know and trust the Universe to put it in front of the right people. I know they say the whole "Build it and they will come" approach doesn't work, but as a 5/1 Projector, I'm pretty sure that's *exactly* how things are meant to work for me.
So here I am, stepping away from email marketing’s structures and systems to join the Substack bandwagon, where I can focus on simply sharing and connecting.
It's funny because it doesn't feel so much like starting fresh as it does coming home.
I've done a lot of soul searching over the past year, and I realized just how far I'd strayed from who I am in an attempt to be what other people wanted, needed, or expected me to be.
So I've actually been really excited to embrace my authenticity (have you checked out my new website?) and just enjoy being me.
I know in a patriarchal society, the idea of a woman living life for herself is practically blasphemous, but I gotta say, it's super fun! You should totally try it.
Whether you're also in a season of change or you're just feeling the itch to try something new, consider this your invitation to follow whatever’s been sparking your curiosity.
Life’s too short—and way too interesting—to ignore the nudges the Universe sends our way.
